About Us

Stepping Stones opened its doors in 1999 and has been a favourite for many. Nestled alongside the River Wyre and the foothills of the Trough of Bowland, Stepping Stones really does provide idyllic views from our dining room.

Originally built as a bungalow in the 1980s as a loving family home to the Robinson family, as Claylands Park expanded they converted the bungalow into what is now Stepping Stones The Bar & Restaurant maintains the lovely, homely atmosphere with stunning views of the fells and river, making it a perfect place to enjoy home cooked food served in our conservatory, or simply unwind with a pint in our bar or gardens after a walk through some of Lancashires most beautiful countryside.

Whatever you choose, you’re guaranteed a warm welcome from our team at Stepping Stones.

Stepping Stones is dog-friendly, family-run restaurant that our regulars know and love. The location is worlds apart from the busting city life swapping cars for sheep and buildings for rolling hills.

We are located just off the A6 north of Garstang on Weavers Lane, and less than10 minutes from the M6.

Dogs are allowed in the Main Bar Area and in our gardens.

Please note that dogs won’t be allowed in the bar area when entertainment is on.

Please see facebook for dates of our entertainment.

Dogs are not permitted in the conservatory.
